Kerstwensen & vooruitblik op het Forum 2025

De Arab-West Foundation wenst alle leden van haar Nederlandse netwerk een vrolijk kerstfeest en een voorspoedig nieuwjaar, en bedankt iedereen voor de sterke deelname aan recente evenementen, zoals de eerste netwerkbijeenkomst op 25 november en de dialoogavond over Palestina/Israël.
Het Nederlandse netwerk is verheugd de oprichting van haar nieuwe Governance Board aan te kondigen, die bestaat uit:
- Dr. Elizabeth Marteijn – Afdeling Midden-Oostenstudies, Universiteit van Groningen
- Rianne C. Ten Veen – Green Creation
- Feri de Geus – Le Grand Cru-Global
- Rob Meyer – Stichting Layan Foundation
- Ola Olajide – GREAT The Hague
- Kees Hulsman & Romana Moussa – Arab-West Foundation
Daarnaast werd opgemerkt dat GREAT The Hague interesse heeft uitgesproken om toe te treden tot het bestuur. Zonder bezwaren van de leden wordt hun toevoeging verwelkomd, wat zorgt voor een gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid en grotere effectiviteit.
Op 11 en 12 december woonden Romana Moussa en Kees Hulsman de bijeenkomst van de Heads of Networks in Alexandrië bij. Een belangrijk onderwerp tijdens deze bijeenkomst was het aankomende Anna Lindh Foundation Forum, dat gepland staat voor 18–20 juni 2025 in Tirana, Albanië. Hoofden van nationale netwerken worden aangemoedigd om sessies te organiseren in samenwerking met netwerkleden. Dit zal een centraal thema zijn voor de eerste vergadering van de Governance Board in het nieuwe jaar.
De Foundation kijkt met veel waardering terug op de afgelopen zes maanden van interactie met de leden en is enthousiast over de kennis en energie binnen het netwerk, wat optimisme biedt voor verdere samenwerking en succes in 2025.
Christmas Wishes & Looking Ahead to the 2025 Forum
The Arab-West Foundation wishes all members of its Dutch network a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, and thanks everyone for their strong participation in recent events, including the first network meeting on November 25 and the dialogue evening on Palestine/Israel.
The Dutch network is pleased to announce the establishment of its new Governance Board, consisting of:

It was also noted that GREAT The Hague has expressed an interest in joining the board. With no objections from the members, their addition was welcomed, creating shared responsibility and greater effectiveness.
On December 11 and 12, Romana Moussa and Kees Hulsman attended the Heads of Networks meeting in Alexandria. An important topic during the meeting was the upcoming Anna Lindh Foundation Forum, scheduled to take place from June 18–20, 2025, in Tirana, Albania. Heads of national networks are encouraged to organise sessions in collaboration with network members. This will be a central topic for the first Governance Board meeting of the new year.
The Foundation looks back with great appreciation on the past six months of engagement with its members and is enthusiastic about the knowledge and energy within the network, which offers optimism for further collaboration and success in 2025.
