Ons netwerklid Sufi Trail nodigt u, in samenwerking met Stichting Konya Nederland Cultuur en Solidariteit, van harte uit voor een Mevlevi Sema-ceremonie uitgevoerd door het Meyan Ensemble op woensdag 17 december 2025 in Amsterdam.
🌙 De Mevlevi Sema-ceremonie, geworteld in de 13e-eeuwse leer van Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, is een diep spiritueel ritueel dat wordt uitgevoerd door rondwervelende derwisjen. De ceremonie symboliseert goddelijke liefde, kosmische harmonie en de zuivering van de ziel. De Sema, die van het Ottomaanse tijdperk tot op de dag van vandaag is bewaard gebleven, is zowel een religieuze praktijk als een culturele traditie en wordt door UNESCO erkend als Immaterieel Cultureel Erfgoed van de Mensheid 🌍.
Met dit evenement willen de organisatoren de universele boodschap van Rumi delen en bijdragen aan het behoud en de viering van spiritueel en cultureel erfgoed in Nederland 🇳🇱. 🌙 Rooted in the 13th-century teachings of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rum, the Mevlevi Sema Ceremony is a deeply spiritual ritual performed by whirling dervishes. The ceremony symbolizes divine love, cosmic harmony, and the purification of the soul. Preserved from the Ottoman era to the present day, the Sema is both a religious practice and a cultural tradition, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity 🌍.
Through this event, the organizers aim to share the universal message of Rumi and to contribute to the preservation and celebration of spiritual and cultural heritage in the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
